Our Big Plan

Summary:

Vista Academy of Art is a non-profit education facility geared towards artists of all ages and abilities.

VAA teaches the traditional principles of art theory, drawing, painting and sculpting in adult and youth

classes. In addition to classes, VAA offers private studios for $300 to $500 per month, locker storage

for students' supplies, closed-door classrooms for meetings and nude figure modeling, and an open

classroom space for art shows and workshops. Classes run for eight to ten week periods, the adult

classes for three hours per session and the youth classes for an hour and a half respectively. An

important factor of the Vista Academy of Art is the youth outreach program. This entails free admission

to VAA classes, internships, and community service hours. VAA also offers shows throughout the year;

each is proposed to run 45 days. The staff members necessary to run VAA are administration, program

director, customer service, floor manager, and instructors. Overall, the Vista Academy of Art is an

organization driven to educate people of all ages and skill levels in the fundamentals of traditional art

and to provide a hub in the community for art enthusiasts to come together and present their work.

Mission:

Vista Academy of Art strives to educate, enrich and engage artists and the community in the visual arts. VAA offers

instruction in the principles of drawing, painting and sculpting, and is dedicated to helping students of all ages and

skill levels realize themselves as artists in contemporary society.

About Us:

community based artistic development for artists of all ages and abilities. Featuring year-round programs that engage

and inspire, the Academy will be home to public art events, lectures, youth programming and exhibitions.

What the VAA Offers:

Programs for Adults- will focus on the traditional academics of drawing and painting, practical applications of art

theory, exploring both the techniques and the aesthetic issues of making art with a proven framework to accelerate the

growth of their artistic skills.

Programs for Youth- will also focus the traditional academics of drawing and painting, while encouraging young

artists to explore new materials and techniques, develop creative problem solving skills and celebrate self-expression.

Private studios- Closed-door, private studios available for lease. Pending the site availability, we propose units of

equal square footage for a competitive lease rate. Each unit will lease for a monthly fee between $300-$500/mo.

Lockers- Lockable storage for artist members. This level membership will allow artists to store supplies on site and

use the open classroom space when it is not in session.

Closed door classrooms- Depending on the size of the faculty, VAA plans to have large classrooms that will offer a

privacy option for nude figure modeling, classes without foot traffic disruption, or meetings.
